1. Data controller
The data controller is SERIDY, a platform connecting individuals with home service providers in Portugal. Contact: contact@seridy.com
2. Data collected
SERIDY collects: account data (name, email, encrypted password); provider data (photo, city, region, phone, IBAN, categories, rate); bookings (address, date, time, duration, amount); reviews (rating, comment); cookies (with consent).
3. Processing purposes
Data is processed to: create and manage accounts; facilitate connections between clients and providers; process bookings and payments (via Stripe); make transfers to providers; send email notifications; improve platform quality and security.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on contract performance (service booking), user consent (cookies, photo) and SERIDY legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention).
5. Data recipients
Data is accessible to the user, relevant providers and SERIDY. Payments are processed by Stripe (processor). SERIDY does not sell or rent personal data to third parties.
6. Retention period
Data is retained during the account lifetime and up to 5 years after last activity, except longer legal retention (financial transactions: 10 years).
7. User rights
Under GDPR, each user has: right of access; right to rectification; right to erasure (right to be forgotten); right to portability; right to object; right to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights: contact@seridy.com.
8. Security
SERIDY implements technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss or disclosure. Passwords are encrypted and payments are secured via Stripe.
9. Cookies
SERIDY uses cookies to improve the user experience. A consent banner is displayed on first visit. The user can accept or decline cookies.
10. Responsibility
SERIDY is solely a connecting platform. The platform is not responsible for damages caused by providers. Each provider is responsible for their own services.
